A Journey in Picture: Part Two

Continuing with our newest series, “A Journey in Picture”, where we share some of the more amazing visuals that have been gleaned from fascial researchers and therapists, we bring you part two.  In 2005, the world of fascia research and bodywork was gifted with the work of French hand surgeon Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau and his film ‘Strolling Under the Skin’.  Dr. Guimberteau’s innovative use of endoscopic filming allowed us a glimpse into the living tapestry of tissue that we work with every day.

Several more films were released from 2005-2012 and, in 2015, his anatomy textbook, ‘Architecture of Human Living Fascia: The extracellular matrix and cells revealed through endoscopy’ was released (www.guimberteau-jc-md.com/en).

While we don’t expect you to read through his books and view all his films (unless you really want to, the pictures are beautiful), we have included his short promotional video that showcases some of the amazing visuals that will forever change how you understand your body.
