UPPER / LOWER NERVE PRESSURE

MANUAL RX – UPPER/LOWER NERVE TENSION

Upper/Lower Nerve Tension is a treatment technique that is useful in any condition wherein a peripheral nerve (outside the spinal cord) is under pressure from its own dural sheath covering. The sheath that covers the nerve can become tightened through myriad causes including herniated discs, degenerated discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, positional impingement, weight bearing and overuse. Oftentimes, symptoms are consistent with pain (localized or diffuse), numbness, tingling or generalized weakness and are commonly diagnosed by physicians as radiculopathy.

After a diagnosis is rendered, a trained therapist can evaluate the causes and areas of tension in the nerve as it travels from the spinal cord to the arms, legs, fingers and toes. The technique is gentle, but firm, as the therapist will glide the nerve through its normal pattern of movement; addressing any blockage or tension found within the system. This approach is beneficial for any patient suffering from acute or chronic nerve impingement, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic tendinitis or back pain. Inner Circle utilizes this technique within a comprehensive hands-on approach to optimize function, reduce pain and improve many chronic conditions.
