A Journey in Pictures: Part One
We have all had the experience of being in a doctor’s office, therapy clinic, wellness center or gym and had our hired expert grab a model of a skeleton, a joint, a spine or a muscle and point out the what and why of our issue. And we have all responded:
“Yes, yes, that makes sense. Very logical.”
The old adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words” is incredibly true. Our eyes and our amazing ability to conceptualize the structure and function of objects lends itself to this type of response – something that words on a page can never hope to achieve in the same way.
With this said, we have talked, explained and shown you during treatment about the complete interconnectedness of the body through the fascial system, but have been at a loss of showing you. It is with this thought that we would like to invite you on a new series we have entitled “A Journey in Picture” where we will share some of the more amazing visuals that relate and help to explain this wondrous system of the body, our very own “web of life”.
For the first installment, we recently came across some ingenious, yet simple models that a Ukrainian company, Boneman Pro (https://www.facebook.com/boneman.pro/), has begun producing. Using simple guy wires that are attached to a model skeleton at the origin and insertion points of major muscle groups, Boneman Pro has created a video that absolutely “speaks a thousand words.”
