Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, indirect treatment that attempts to release restriction within the craniosacral system. The craniosacral system is a fascial connective sheath that surrounds the central nervous system, autonomic and endocrine systems with extensions into the peripheral fascial system. This connective tissue membrane supports the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that both supports and defends the brain and spinal cord, as it flows in a cyclical manner between the brain and the sacrum (tailbone). Trauma and inflammation can restrict this natural flow of cerebrospinal fluid, causing increased pressure within the system and symptomatic complaints of pain and diminished function/motion.

Our clinical experience has shown CST to be highly effective in releasing these restrictions within the craniosacral system, but oftentimes requires extended treatment time to make the changes necessary for a return to health. It is through our Intensive Program that people with chronic pain or a desire for optimum health can receive CST in its purest form.
